Mark Cuban, longtime Trump foe, to be in debate audience
Billionaire Mark Cuban reveled in his role as chief Trump antagonist Monday, telling reporters hours before the Hofstra debate that he planned on smiling at Republican Donald Trump throughout the 90-minute debate.
Cuban, the owner of the Dallas Mavericks basketball team, who has a long history of trading barbs with Trump on Twitter, will be in the audience after receiving one of the coveted debate tickets from Democrat Hillary Clinton’s campaign.
“He’s like that friend you have that’s easy to pick on, who just says crazy things,” Cuban said of Trump.
Cuban said while there are certain parts of Clinton’s tax plan he disagrees with, “the good thing about Hillary is there will be a whole democratic process that I can follow up on if she gets elected.”
“With Donald Trump, you just don’t know what he believes, what he doesn’t believe,” Cuban said. “There’s just so many uncertainties.”
