BACKGROUND: Hogan, 53, of Manhasset, is running on the Conservative Party line. He has been in private law practice in Jericho since 1998, litigating cases in the federal and state courts. He served as an assistant district attorney in the Nassau District Attorney’s Office from 1993 to 1998, where he served in the County Court Trial Bureau and the Organized Crime Division. Hogan received his law degree in 1992 from New England School of Law. In 1993, he was admitted to practice law in New York State and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He was admitted to the U.S. District Court, Eastern, Southern and Northern Districts, in 1998 and to the U.S. Court of Appeals, First and Second Circuits, in 2003. Hogan is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association.
