BACKGROUND: Pilewski, 52, of Smithtown is running on the Republican, Green, Women’s Equality, and Reform party lines in the general election. Pilewski is a principal law clerk to Kings County Supreme Court Acting Justice Guy J. Mangano, a position he has been in since July 2000. As a principal law clerk, Pilewski drafts legal decisions, memorandum, court decisions, and jury charges, and does research. In 1995, Pilewski began his legal career as a court attorney in the Appellate Division in Brooklyn. He graduated from St. John’s University in 1989 and earned his law degree from Touro Law Center in 1994. He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1995. Pilewski is a member of the Suffolk County Bar Association.
