Of the likely Democratic candidates to succeed Attorney General Andrew Cuomo if he runs for governor, Nassau District Attorney Kathleen Rice led in campaign funds on hand last month with $2.4 million. Eric Dinallo, former top aide to Cuomo predecessor Eliot Spitzer, had $1.5-plus million - as did Nassau-raised ex-U.S. prosecutor Sean Coffey, a Chaminade High School grad. Also reporting more than $1 million: State Sen. Eric Schneiderman of Manhattan and Assemb. Richard Brodsky of Westchester. Potential debate-starter: Dinallo, ex-insurance superintendent, said during the Wall Street bonus ruckus last fall "the real problem is not around compensation [but] the regulatory structure that has not been changed in Congress."
