Nassau's 3rd LD: Now, Ciotti urges ex-vol's sanit-job firing
This latest comes Wednesday from Legis. John Ciotti (R-North Valley Stream) on former campaign volunteer linked to a bias incident:
“As the Co-Chair of the Nassau County Anti-Bias Task Force, I have dedicated myself to fighting against racial prejudice and sexual discrimination and fighting for social justice. That is why I have absolutely zero tolerance for the abhorrent behavior of Vincent Prisco, a former volunteer on my campaign.
“There is no room for this type of behavior in government, in politics or in our society as a whole.
“As soon as I learned what Mr. Prisco had done, I immediately terminated his relationship with my campaign.
“Now I am calling upon Sanitary District 6 to immediately terminate Mr. Prisco’s employment as well. As a society we cannot turn our backs when this sort of behavior occurs and we must make it clear that we will not accept this behavior.”
Ciotti's Democratic opponent Carrie Solages is taking part in a news conference with attorney Fred Brewington Wednesday afternoon.
