- Sammut, 65, of Wantagh, is running on the Republican, Democratic and Conservative party lines in the general election.
- Sammut has been a practicing attorney for 31 years at his own law firm in Garden City where he represents clients in estate planning, estate administration, elder planning and business planning.
- He graduated from Fordham University in 1979 and then continued on at its School of Law to earn a juris doctor in 1982.
- He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1983.
