New York’s Reform Party, headed by former Guardian Angel leader Curtis Sliwa, is backing Ray Perini, the GOP designee for Suffolk district attorney, and GOP primary challenger Larry Zaracese for county sheriff.
The party, launched as “Stop Common Core” in 2014 by GOP gubernatorial candidate Rob Astorino, changed names and was taken over by Sliwa last year. However, The Reform Party as of April 1 had only 116 registered voters, out of nearly 1 million countywide.
