When just about everyone in the political world, certainly Congress, says that one of their own has had it, you can usually take that to the bank. So just a few days after all the "leave of absence" and professional-help drivel from Rep. Anthony Weiner, he's finally packing it in, according to this report and others.
Regionally, this affects the New York delegation. The only question of national impact would seem to be whether Republicans can mount a real effort to turn over the seat -- which goes to the matter of how it may be redrawn in the redistricting process for next year.
