Anthony Manetta, who served for a year as a $4,000-a-month consultant to the Suffolk County Economic Development Corp., has let his contract lapse and the county is bringing the work in-house.

Theresa Ward, the county’s $158,923-a-year chief deputy commissioner of economic development, will take over Manetta’s work. The county will charge the corporation, which collects fees from hospitals and nonprofits to which it provides financing.

Manetta, who started his own consulting firm, Standard Advisors Group, said the parting was amicable. “I’m really focused on other projects and this was a great way to hand it off,” he said.
