Suffolk GOP drops Women's Equality Party challenge

Suffolk Republicans over the weekend dropped their legal challenge to more than two dozen Democratic candidates  who have obtained the Women's Equality Party ballot line for the November election.

Steve Losquadro, attorney for Suffolk Republicans, withdrew his lawsuit in a communication to state Supreme Court Justice John Leo. "As this matter would be on procedural grounds, the petitioner hereby withdraws and discontinues this action without prejudice," said Losquadro.
