Suffolk real-estate director departs for non-profit
Jill Rosen-Nikoloff, Suffolk's director of real estate, is leaving county government to become chief operating officer for the non-profit Community Development Corporation of Long Island.
Rosen-Nikoloff, 54, of St. James, who worked for the county for eight years in her $141,544-a-year post, will become the number two official in CDCLI under CFEO and president Marianne Garvin. Earlier in her career she was an aide to former Rep. Tom Downey (D-Amityville).
Community Development Corp LI is a $70 million operation that helps meet the housing needs of 10,000 people a year in Nassau-Suffolk and Brooklyn.
Rosen-Nikoloff replaces Corinne Hammons, who served as CDC's executive vice president for operations for a decade but left in May to become head of Little Flower Children's Services in Wading River.
