Todd Richman, ‘Doc’ Spencer out of race for 3rd CD

Two more Democratic contenders have pulled the plug on running to succeed retiring Rep. Steve Israel.
Financier Todd Richman of Great Neck and Suffolk Legis. William Spencer (D-Centerport) informed party leaders they no longer wish to run.
That leaves Former Nassau County Executive Tom Suozzi, former North Hempstead Supervisor Jon Kaiman, Suffolk Legis. Steve Stern (D-Dix Hills), North Hempstead town board member Anna Kaplan and lobbyist Brad Gerstman as the remaining contenders.
