Timothy J. Tenke, Mayor, City of Glen Cove

Tenke, 57, is running on the Democratic and Working Families party lines. Tenke is running for a second two-year term. He previously served six terms as a city councilman.

ISSUES:

• Tenke said that during his tenure he has “nearly tripled the amount of drinkable water in Glen Cove by reopening water wells that had long been neglected and remediated contamination in others.”  
• He said he has “presented two balanced budgets and will continue to uphold his fiduciary duties to the residents of Glen Cove.”
• He said he has made the community safer by tripling the size of the harbor patrol, adding a new hook and ladder fire truck to Glen Cove’s fleet, and adding a dispatcher to improve police department response time.
