BACKGROUND:
- De Pasquale, 63, of East Hampton, is running for his sixth term as town assessor. He is running on the Democratic, Republican, Conservative and Independence parties' lines.
- He has been working as a town assessor for roughly 20 years.
- De Pasquale has a bachelor's degree in English from Columbia University and has diplomas in both construction management and real estate finance and analysis from New York University. De Pasquale is also a New York State-certified advanced assessor and a state-certified licensed residential appraiser.
ISSUES:
- De Pasquale said he wants to continue to "assess properties equitably and fairly."
- With the advent of COVID-19, he added he wants to help continue making the office stay proactive with technology upgrades.
- He believes the technology upgrades will improve the office’s efficiency in maintaining and making records more accessible to the public.
