BACKGROUND:
- Drucker, 64, of Plainview, won a special election in 2016 for the seat of the late Legis. Judy Jacobs. He is seeking a third full term and also is running on the Working Familes Party line.
- He has a bachelor of arts degree in political science and history from SUNY Buffalo and a law degree from Rutgers University School of Law.
- Drucker is an attorney and partner in the law firm of Drucker & Mattia in Jackson Heights, Queens, and Syosset. From 2012 to 2016, he served on the Nassau Community College board of trustees.
ISSUES:
- Drucker says he supported legislation banning the sale of fruit-flavored vape products and e-cigarettes, and requiring the installation of cameras on school buses to enforce the law against passing a stopped bus.
- He continues to advocate for open and transparent government and fiscal responsibility. He supported legislation mandating sexual harassment training for county executives and department heads.
- Drucker says he secured funds to repave more than 20 miles of county roads in his legislative district.
