- Castoldi, 74, of Shelter Island, is seeking her fourth term as assessor. She also is running on the Democratic line.
- She has been assessing property on Shelter Island for more than 30 years.
- Before town office, she was a real estate appraiser for North Fork Bank and also operated her own business. She is a state-certified assessor and appraiser.
ISSUES:
- Castoldi said the assessors are nonpolitical as they follow state law. Property in the town is revalued each year.
