Salary: $133,000

Duties: The North Hempstead Town supervisor, representing more than 237,639 residents, is the town's chief administrator and chief financial officer and also is responsible for implementing the town budget. The supervisor oversees all 12 town departments, including highway, building, code enforcement, public safety and the town attorney's office. Other responsibilities include setting zoning policies and signing all contracts and agreements into which the town enters.
