BACKGROUND:

• Totino, 33, of Glen Cove, is an incumbent seeking his second term.
• He served on the board of zoning appeals. He has also been a board member of the Glen Cove Jr. Soccer Club since 2014 and is a trustee of the Glen Cove chapter of the Order of the Sons of Italy
• He is a trial attorney at Ferro & Stenz, a mid-size law firm in Westbury specializing in insurance defense. He holds a BA in international finance and marketing from the University of Miami and a juris doctor from Brooklyn Law School.

ISSUES:

• Totino said he would work to ensure the city continues to be fiscally responsible by adopting a structurally sound budget, improve its credit rating and create new revenue.
• He said he would like to oversee capital projects such as repairing and renovating parks, beaches, government buildings and recreational facilities.
• He said he would like to offer incentives for small businesses to return to the city and contribute to the post-pandemic recovery, stimulating job growth and ensuring a thriving downtown.
