- Hand, 61, is a senior manager at a domestic and international shipping company and is a former commissioner of the Massapequa water district. He is also running on the Conservative and Tax Revolt party lines.
- He has served on the Oyster Bay Town Board since 2017.
- He received an undergraduate degree in business management and a master's degree in labor and policy studies.
ISSUES
- Hand said the town should pave roads and improve its parks.
- He said the town should reduce its debt and not increase property taxes.
- He said the town should make sure the Metropolitan Transportation Authority builds commuter parking to support the third track Long Island Rail Road project and expanded ridership.
