  • Oster, 66, of Southampton, is running on the Democratic and Clean Water party lines in the general election.
  • Oster is an attorney with a private law practice in Southampton. She has been practicing law for over 30 years in Suffolk County.

  • Oster was employed from 1990 to 2012 at the Mental Hygiene Legal Society of the Appellate Division of the State of New York, where she provided legal representation to marginalized people in the Supreme, County and Surrogate’s courts on Long Island. Oster spent her last 10 years there as the lead counsel in guardianship cases.
  • Oster received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in 1976. She earned her law degree from St. John’s University School of Law in 1984.
