Geraldine L. Compitello, Town Clerk, Town of Babylon
GERALDINE L. COMPITELLO
Democratic
BACKGROUND:
- Compitello, 58, of Amityville, is seeking a second term as town clerk after getting elected in November 2017. She also is running on the Conservative Party line.
- She previously worked as an assistant to Babylon Town Supervisor Richard Schaffer for nearly five years and before that for two years with the Babylon Industrial Development Agency as vice president of properties.
- Compitello worked as a marketing coordinator for nearly 20 years.
ISSUES:
- Compitello wants to make the clerk’s office a place to find documents and be a liaison for anyone who enters seeking information from another governmental office.
- She said she will seek to do community outreach for programs and provide that resource for residents as an additional option for services.
- Compitello said she will seek to extend the clerk's office hours either in the morning or evening.
