DONALD J. GRIM

Republican

BACKGROUND:

  • Grim, 65, of Cutchogue, is also running on the Conservative line. He is the owner of a tow-truck company.
  • He is a member of the Cutchogue Fire Department and a member of the Orient Yacht Club.
  • He has been a snowplow contractor for Suffolk County for more than 25 years.

ISSUES:

  • Grim said he will make a list of which roads need repaving the most and tackle them in that order. "You have to live within your budget and keep paving," he said. "It's all a big maintenance project of drainage, roads and trimming trees, and taking care of the equipment."
  • He said he would seek grant money to help with repairs on roads.
  • He would work on drainage projects and diverting stormwater runoff from the Peconic Bay and Sound.
