BACKGROUND:
- Saladino, 60, of Massapequa, has been Oyster Bay Town Supervisor since 2017. He is also running on the Conservative and Tax Revolt party lines.
- He previously served as a New York State Assemblyman, Oyster Bay director of operations and an executive assistant in town of Hempstead government.
- He received his undergraduate and masters degrees in journalism from New York Institute of Technology.
ISSUES
- Saladino said he wants to improve the town's finances and refinance debt at lower interest rates.
- He said he wants state and federal grants for infrastructure projects including drainage.
- He said he wants to enter in a public-private partnership to remove waterfront oil tanks on South Street in the hamlet of Oyster Bay and convert the property into a publicly accessible space.
