BACKGROUND:
- Lynch, 60, of East Hampton, has served as Town of East Hampton superintendent of highway since 2012 and is running unopposed for reelection. He is also running on the Independence Party line.
- He ran Stephen K. Lynch Contracting LTD, an excavation, construction and pool business, for 35 years.
- Lynch, a lifelong East Hampton resident, is a volunteer firefighter with the East Hampton Fire Department and a member of the East Hampton Lions Club.
ISSUES:
- Lynch said he wants to address staffing levels, which he said were at an "all time low." He added that he hopes to attract more people by raising wages.
- He said we wanted to continue with his pavement preservation program and tree work in the town.
- Lynch also noted that during his tenure he has updated all work equipment, which he hopes to maintain in his new term.
