- Pilewski, 55, of Smithtown, is running on the Democratic, Republican and Conservative party lines in the general election.
- He is a principal law clerk to Kings County Supreme Court Acting Justice Guy J. Mangano, a position he has held since July 2000. As a principal law clerk, he drafts legal decisions, memorandum, court decisions, and jury charges, and does research.
- In 1995, began his legal career as a court attorney in the Appellate Division in Brooklyn.
- Pilewski graduated from St. John's University in 1989, and in 1994, he was editor-in-chief of the Touro Law Review at Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center, the same year he earned his law degree.
