BACKGROUND:
- Johnson, 47, of Locust Valley, is an attorney in private practice focused on matrimonial, family and corporate law. She is also running on the Conservative and Tax Revolt party lines.
- She has served on the Oyster Bay Town Board since 2013.
- She received a bachelor's undergraduate degree from Syracuse University and a law degree from New York Law School.
ISSUES:
- Johnson says she wants to expand the town's North Shore shellfish hatchery to the South Shore, and for the town to adopt a comprehensive bay management plan.
- She says she is hopeful the town will be able to cut taxes in the future.
- Johnson says she would like to see more public activities — possibly led by nonprofits or volunteers — offered at town-owned properties Woodbury House (aka the Tinker Mansion) in Woodbury and The Farm at Oyster Bay.
