- Hamberger, of Center Moriches, is a matrimonial lawyer with an office in Bohemia.
- Her online law office biography said she holds a bachelor's degree in economics and political science. She studied law at CUNY School of Law in Queens and forensic psychology at John Jay College of Criminal Justice in Manahattan.
- She previously worked as a legislative aide to late Assemb. Nettie Mayersohn (D-Queens).
- Hamberger has provided pro bono legal services through the Nassau Suffolk Law Services' Volunteer Lawyers Project in Hempstead.
