Rip current advisory on summer's first day
Swimmers on the first day of summer be warned.
There's "a moderate risk of rip currents" into Friday evening at Atlantic Ocean beaches, the National Weather Service said.
The weather will cooperate with those seeking to take advantage of the longest day of the year: It will be sunny, with a highs in the high 70s to low 80s on Long Island, forecasters said.
