Police are searching for a missing man who was last seen in East Meadow.

Michael Stevens, 27, was last seen on Starke Avenue in East Meadow Wednesday at about 4 p.m., Nassau County police said.

Stevens is described as African-American, about 5-foot-10 and 150 pounds with brown eyes and a medium build. He was last seen wearing a dark sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Police said he was traveling on foot and could be intent on going to Brooklyn - or Lake Charles, La.

The Silver Alert program is designed to alert the public when a person with dementia or other cognitive disorder is missing.
