A small craft advisory continues through Wednesday afternoon on Long Island's ocean waters, the National Weather Service said in its marine forecast.

A strong flow from the east northeast is expected with seas of 4 to 7 feet, the service's Upton office said Tuesday.

The advisory covers Moriches Inlet to Montauk Point; Fire Island Inlet to Moriches Inlet; and Sandy Hook, New Jersey, to Fire Island Inlet.

Winds of 15 to 20 knots with gusts of up to 25 knots are likely for most of Tuesday and into early Wednesday.

Rain will continue for most of Tuesday and into Wednesday morning, as a stalled frontal boundary slowly pushes east and across Nassau and Suffolk counties, the service said.
