Summer lingers but chill, rain to set in later this week

Forecasters are predicting a touch of summer weather this weekend on Long Island, despite the calendar saying it's fall.
Long Island residents can get one last taste of summer Sunday before a cold front and chance of rain move in later this week.
Temperatures are expected to be in the low 80s Sunday and Monday across Long Island and New York City, with overnight lows in the low 60s, according to the National Weather Service.
The region should cool down through the week under cloudy skies with rain forecast as a possibility on Tuesday. Highs should linger in the upper to mid-60s and lows dropping into the 50s through the week.
A stronger chance of showers could arrive Friday night through Saturday morning.
