Superstorm Sandy walk-in legal clinic Wednesday in Lindenhurst
The Touro Law Center Disaster Relief Clinic and Adopt-a-House are hosting a superstorm Sandy walk-in legal clinic Wednesday in Lindenhurst.
The free clinic will be open from 4 to 7 p.m. in the board room at Babylon Town Hall, at 200 Sunrise Hwy.
Staff of the clinic will provide free one-on-one legal consultations for any residents of Nassau or Suffolk county who were affected by the 2012 storm. Experts can help people with many legal issues, such as flood insurance claims, Federal Emergency Management Agency recoupments, problems with New York Rising and contractor disputes.
People seeking legal advice should organize their paperwork — such as flood insurance declaration pages, denial letters, photographs, award letters, contracts — in advance for review and consultation.
