A former Southampton Town animal shelter worker has been charged with tampering with public records for throwing out DVDs containing videos of dogs while they were at the shelter, police said.

Jeanine Sullivan, 41, of Rocky Point, turned herself in to Southampton Town Police on Monday to answer the misdemeanor charge.

At her arraignment, she was released into her own custody and told to return to court with an attorney on March 19.
