A Massapequa man on a motorcycle was killed in Amityville Sunday night after colliding with a sedan, Suffolk police said.
Rocco Pesce, 25, was riding a 2016 Yamaha RI motorcycle northbound on County Line Road about 100 feet south of Oakley Street about 8:30 p.m., according to police. He then struck a southbound 2019 Infiniti sedan as it turned left into a residential driveway, police said.
Pesce was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip where he was pronounced dead, police said. The driver of the Infiniti, James Gallinat, 49, of Amityville, was not injured.
Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks. Anyone with information on the crash is asked to call the First Squad at 631-854-8152.
