Driver ejected in Northern State Parkway crash
An early Saturday morning crash on the Northern State Parkway in Jericho left a driver in serious condition after he was ejected from his vehicle, according to State Police. The crash shut down the eastbound parkway for nearly two hours.
The driver, who was not identified by police, was traveling east on the parkway and his car overturned after striking a center median near Exit 35, State Police said in a release.
The driver was taken to Nassau University Medical Center for a head injury. The driver was in serious condition, according to the release.
According to 511 NY, the eastbound lanes between Exits 35N-NY 106 and 36S-South Oyster Bay Road were closed after the crash but police said the section is now open.
