Delays easing on Port Washington branch after track condition

A track condition near Great Neck that had caused some delays and cancellations on the Port Washington line Wednesday evening has been resolved, an LIRR spokesman said.

The Long Island Rail Road had announced earlier that Port Washington branch riders should expect cancellations and delays averaging 20 minutes because of the track condition. But the spokesman said those delays should be easing after 6:23 p.m.
