Nassau County police have identified the man killed in a crash early Friday in Hicksville as Pablo Amarilla, 52, of Stewart Manor.

Around 2:25 a.m., a 51-year-old woman was driving a 2003 Honda Accord east on East Barclay Street when she lost control of the car and struck a tree near the intersection of Bay Avenue, according to police.

Amarilla was pronounced dead at the scene by a police medic.

The driver was taken to a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The investigation is ongoing.
