Long Island Expressway traffic was flowing normally near the Hicksville-Jericho border Monday afternoon after authorities cleared a truck that had caught on fire, according to Nassau County police and the State DOT.

The vehicle was removed from the highway near Exit 41N, Route 106-107. No one was injured in the fire, which started shortly before 11 a.m., she said.

Video from the 511NY traffic cameras had showed a tractor trailer car carrier, its cab ablaze, on the right hand shoulder of the road.

It had forced closure of most of the expressway except the HOV lane.
