On Sunday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. the Long Island Rail Road’s connecting concourse will not provide access to the stairs leading to the Eighth Avenue downtown local subway or to 33rd Street just west of Eighth Avenue.

LIRR customers are advised to follow signage for alternate routing.

A Metropolitan Transportation Authority spokesman could not immediately be reached for comment on why the access would not be available.
