Service resumes on LIRR Montauk Branch after broken rail caused delays

Service on the Long Island Rail Road resumed Friday morning after a broken rail caused delays in both directions between Montauk and Southampton, the MTA said.
Crews repaired the broken rail near East Hampton, the MTA said in an update on its website.
