The Long Island Rail Road, which experienced scattered delays starting Friday afternoon, was running on schedule by rush hour, officials said.

Trains were stalled for two reasons earlier in the day: A late afternoon rail condition near the East New York station caused some issues, as did another incident on Long Island.

In that case, a 23-year-old woman was struck and injured on the tracks in Bay Shore.

Authorities say she walked out on to the rail intentionally and suffered a laceration to her head.

The victim, who was not named, was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital and is expected to survive.
