Long Island Rail Road: On or close to schedule after signal trouble
The Long Island Rail Road said it was on or close to schedule Tuesday morning after signal trouble.
The LIRR said in a service update about 10:30 a.m. that repair crews had completed work on the signal west of Woodside station. Earlier, there were delays of up to 10 to 15 minutes.
The first indication of a signal problem in the area was about 6:20 a.m.
Commuters were encouraged to check mta.info/lirr and their email and text alerts for updated information.
Separately, a switch problem near New Hyde Park caused minor delays from about 8:30 to 9:40 a.m., when the problem was cleared.
