The Long Island Rail Road has resolved earlier signal trouble west of Woodside and morning commuter service returned to normal Tuesday.
The problem caused the rerouting of trains and delays and cancellations on multiple branches.
The last remaining delay was the 6:55 a.m. train from Babylon to Penn Station, which was operating 15-20 minutes late following the earlier signal issue, the railroad reported on its website.
By 9 a.m., all branches of the railroad were running on or close to schedule, a status that continued through the morning.
Additionally, service between Greenport and Ronkonkoma involved shuttle bus service due to planned work that will affect weekday trains through Nov. 20.
