Commuters are facing delays up to 30 minutes on the rails tonight due to a downed Amtrak power line, according to the Long Island Rail Road.

The LIRR said the downed power line in an East River tunnel is causing eastbound delays out of Penn Station.

The power line has been temporarily repaired, according to the LIRR, but commuters should still expect residual delays up to 30 minutes.

The LIRR also advised commuters that entry into Penn Station is being restricted, due to congestion caused by the delays. Commuters were advised to take later trains.
