There were two separate LIRR bridge strikes in Nassau County within about an hour on Monday morning, leading to minor delays, the Long Island Rail Road said.

The Port Jefferson and Ronkonkoma branches were affected, the LIRR said in service advisories.

The driver of a Jeep lost control and struck the side of an LIRR bridge at Charlotte Avenue in Hicksville at 9:20 a.m., MTA officials said. There were no injuries, but two trains were delayed for about 10 minutes. The trains were on or close to schedule after 11:15 a.m. when LIRR personnel went to the scene and inspected the bridge.

A vehicle also hit the LIRR bridge at Glen Cove Road in Carle Place at 10:36 a.m., MTA officials said. Inspectors were on scene inspecting, with minor delays expected.

Separately, a vehicle struck a broken crossing gate west of Farmingdale, causing slower speeds for Ronkonkoma trains through the area.
