Westbound Long Beach branch service restored after brief suspension due to flooding, LIRR says
Westbound Long Beach branch service on the Long Island Rail Road has been restored, after a brief suspension due to flooding on the tracks at Long Beach from a nearby water treatment plant, the rail road said Friday morning.
The 5:35 a.m. train from Long Beach to Penn Station was expected to operate "as intended," the rail road said.
