Long Beach branch service restored after suspension, LIRR says
Service on the Long Island Rail Road's Long Beach branch has been restored, following a supension Friday morning due to a vehicle that broke down on the tracks in East Rockaway, according to the rail road and Nassau police.
The incident occurred at the Rocklyn Avenue crossing west of the Centre Avenue station, the rail road said.
In a tweet, the rail road said the car had been removed from the tracks.
