A Valley Stream man was struck and killed by a train at the village's LIRR station.
The MTA said the man, 19, was struck at about 9:40 a.m. by the train from Grand Central Madison heading to Massapequa. He was declared dead at the scene.
MTA police said the man was not allowed to be on the tracks and the initial investigation, including video surveillance, found no criminal intent in the death.
MTA police responded to the scene with police tape barricading the entrances to the platforms. An officer removed the tape just after noon and trains resumed to Long Beach at 12:24 p.m.
Full service resumed by 1 p.m. and most trains were running on or close to on time, according to the MTA.
Before then, all trains on the Babylon, West Hempstead, Far Rockaway and Long Beach branches were skipping Valley Stream.
