LIRR: Port Washington Branch on or close after truck hits bridge
The Port Washington Branch of the Long Island Rail Road was on or close to schedule late Wednesday morning after earlier delays, the LIRR said.
Earlier, the LIRR reported delays on the branch after a truck struck an LIRR bridge, according to the LIRR.
The delays were averaging 15 to 20 minutes in both directions because trains were operating at a reduced speed after the bridge strike near the Flushing-Main Street station, the LIRR said in a service update on its website.
