Service on the Long Island Rail Road between Island Park and Long Beach has been restored after being suspended earlier because of an issue with the Reynolds Channel Bridge, the LIRR said.

The issue led some train delays and cancellations, and caused trains to be halted in both directions from the Island Park station to Long Beach, an MTA spokeswoman said earlier Saturday.

The issue occurred around 1 p.m. Details about the nature of the bridge problem were not immediately available.
